NATIONAL MINING FORUM

On March 24, 2014, the Supreme Mining Council of Non-profit Partnership Russian Mining Operators made a decision to hold the National Mining Forum on a regular basis, making it the main information and discussion platform for addressing the problems of developing the mineral and raw materials sector of the economy, consolidating the expert community, and carrying out a constructive dialogue with state authorities.

 

THE EVENTS’ PRIMARY GOAL IS:

  • high efficiency and competitiveness of the Russian mineral and raw materials sector.

 

 THE FORUM’S OBJECTIVES:

  • pooling efforts of the authorities, various groups of experts in the development of the mining industry growth areas;
  • analysis and assessment of internal and external challenges to the branches of the national mineral resources sector;
  • improving the quality of forecasting and modeling the development of industries in the medium and long term;
  • working out proposals to the state government bodies in order to solve pressing problems of the mineral resources sector.

 

THE FORUM WAS SUPPORTED BY:

  • The federal and regional executive authorities (the Ministry of Energy of Russia, Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia, Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia);
  • the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation;
  • relevant committees of the State Duma and the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation;
  • the leaders of the mining companies, industry associations, scientific and educational institutions;
